Jonathan McMasters Heart Surgery

Jonathan McMasters, a diligent deacon and beloved member of our church is facing his fifth open-heart surgery in August of this year. We’ve set up this page to provide updates as he walks through this procedure, to ask for prayer from fellow believers, and as a landing page for people to provide financial support should you feel compelled to help.

Jonathan was born with aortic stenosis and received a catheterization as an infant that unfortunately led to an infection and ultimately the need to replace his aortic and pulmonary valves. He has had four open-heart surgeries since then and is now 31 years old and preparing for his fifth surgery to replace his pulmonary valve. He’ll be traveling to Indianapolis in early August to undergo the surgery at IU Health.

We would appreciate your prayer for every aspect of this - safety in their travels, the surgery itself, his recovery, the emotional toll on his wife. The Lord has been faithful and we trust that He will be with Jonathan and Joy through this, and we’re thankful for other believers and churches who would join with us to lift them up and support them.

If you would like to help financially, we’ve also set up a donate button to accept financial support. The McMasters are expecting the total cost of this to be close to $20,000.
